1. Does Firefly assist with domestic or international adoption?
While this is a noble endeavor, Firefly does not offer any direct or indirect assistance when it comes to adoption. For those families living in Russia that already provide a home for a foster or adopted child, Firefly trains Russian healthcare, educational and social services professionals to develop family support programs to ensure a healthy and productive living environment for all family members.
2. Does Firefly help people who want to volunteer in an orphanage?

3. Does Firefly accept donations of new or gently used toys, clothing, medical equipment or any other in-kind gifts?
While these are generous gestures, Firefly cannot directly manage in-kind donations because of the overwhelming cost of shipping items overseas. Firefly can, however, take in-kind donations and sponsorships of new equipment and supplies from companies that can distribute or ship directly to its participating partners in Russia. 4. Where else does Firefly conduct training programs besides Russia?
Right now Firefly only works in Russia, but hopes to expand to other countries once additional funding and resources are secured. Firefly’s expertise is geared toward helping former Soviet bloc countries modernize their child welfare systems, so these areas are top priority. However, Firefly is happy to assist other countries outside of these parameters if adequate funding can be found.
